I began the project of exploring ways to support caregivers of children in care in 2005, when I visited a small Christian orphanage, Love and Hope, in El Salvador. In my second visit, I was accompanied by Sarah Measures, educator and child psychotherapist. In addition to Sarah and me, the team now includes Wendy Fern, a community family clinician, Susanna Fragano, a social worker, and Alexandra Musliner, an educator.
I have had the pleaure to see Wendy Fern in a work setting and she is a talented clinician with a rare ability to compassionately help people. I am sure she brings a rare viewpoint to the interactions and must be a treasured team member.
